One of the top-rated state parks in Florida, and it's right here in PCB. Pristine beaches, nature trails through coastal scrub, a fishing pier, and a jetty where you can watch dolphins play. Pack a cooler and spend the whole day — it never feels crowded.

Shell Island

An undeveloped 7-mile barrier island accessible only by boat. Crystal-clear snorkeling, wild dolphins, and some of the most untouched sand on the Gulf Coast. Several local shuttle services run trips daily from St. Andrews.

The heart of PCB's entertainment district. Over 120 shops, restaurants, and attractions — plus a giant SkyWheel, an IMAX theater, and enough ice cream shops to keep the kids bribed all week.

Interactive dolphin encounters, sea lion shows, and tropical bird exhibits. It's a half-day activity that younger kids absolutely love.

Conservation Park

24 miles of hiking and biking trails through cypress wetlands and pine flatwoods. It's free, it's beautiful, and it's the best-kept secret in Panama City Beach for nature-loving families.

Deep Sea Fishing Charters

PCB is one of the Gulf Coast's premier fishing destinations. Charter boats head out daily for red snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi, and king mackerel. Half-day trips work great for families with mixed experience levels.

Shipwreck Island Waterpark

A classic waterpark with slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a massive treehouse play area. Open seasonally — check dates if you're visiting spring or fall.

Peak season (June–August): Warmest water, longest days, and the most energy in town. This is prime family vacation time — book early, because our properties fill up months in advance for summer.

Shoulder season (March–May, September–October): Our favorite time to visit. The weather is gorgeous (highs in the 70s–80s), the beaches are less crowded, and rates are lower. Spring break in March can be busy, but April and October are sweet spots.

Off-season (November–February): Mild winters by most standards — highs in the 50s–60s. The beach is quiet, the town is relaxed, and our heated indoor pools mean your group can still swim every day. Great for smaller reunions and holiday gatherings.

Grocery strategy: Walmart and Publix are both within 10 minutes of our properties. Pro tip: place a Walmart grocery pickup order before you arrive so you can grab everything on the way from the airport.

Getting there: Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is right in Panama City Beach — no long drives from a distant airport. Most major airlines fly direct from Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, and Baltimore.

Beach gear: Don't haul chairs and umbrellas from home. Local rental companies deliver chairs, umbrellas, and even paddleboards right to the sand. Set it up once for your whole trip.

Dining for big groups: Firefly, Schooners, and Pineapple Willy's all handle large parties well. Make reservations for dinner — walk-ins with 12+ people can mean a long wait during peak season.
